Kitchen Favorites: My Personal Recommendations

What was the first product or collection that got you interested in Yamazaki Home? For me, it was the kitchen collection. My kitchen is one of the places in my home that gets cluttered most easily, with every new utensil or spice jar I add. I also believe that some cooking and cleaning routines can simply flow a little better.

In this blog, I'd like to share three practical kitchen items that have earned a permanent place on my countertop. Here's why I think they're worth having in any kitchen.

TOSCA Basket — Versatile Storage for More Than Fruits

I originally chose this Basket because I loved the beautiful design of the TOSCA series. The white steel and wooden handle complement my white country-style kitchen and wooden countertop perfectly, making it feel more like a decorative piece than a storage basket.

At first, I thought I'd mainly use it as a fruit basket that I could carry between the kitchen and dining table, but it also works beautifully for storing vegetables. On weekend mornings, I like to line it with a cloth or paper napkin and use it as a bread basket for breakfast. Since it's made of sturdy steel, it's also durable enough for pantry storage, especially the larger size basket. I'm sure there are plenty of other creative ways to use and display it around the home.

TOSCA Ladle & Pot Lid Stand — The Cooking Essential

Another beautiful piece from the TOSCA series, and one that's incredibly useful. Out of the entire kitchen collection, this Ladle & Pot Lid Stand was the item that intrigued me the most. It's such a simple idea, but while cooking I realized how often I would place a spoon, ladle, or pot lid directly on the countertop. Having one dedicated spot for my utensils made cooking feel much more organized, and cleanup became easier too. Instead of wiping oil splatters and soup drips off the countertop, I can simply remove and clean the tray at the bottom of the stand.

When I'm not cooking, I leave it on the countertop and use it to hold my most frequently used utensils, instead of tucked away in a drawer.

TOWER Kitchen Multi-Use Stand — Smart Solution for Drying Bottles

I like to bring my reusable water bottle with me every day, but it's always awkward to dry. I used to balance it next to the sink to dry, but it would often end up sitting there dripping or falling over. This Kitchen Multi-Use Stand solved that problem for me. I also use it to dry drinking glasses, jars, and sometimes even champagne glasses. The practical silicone tips on the top and bottom keep the stand stable and prevent the glasses from sliding around.

Although it doesn't have a wooden accent like the other two pieces, the simple white or black steel finish of the TOWER series still fits the same minimalist style. Once everything is dry, I simply fold the stand flat and store it in a drawer until I need it again.
